LEIGH Montagna will still be a St Kilda player in 2014.
A report aired on Fox Sports News over the weekend suggested the dual All-Australian was set to join Essendon in a trade.
St Kilda can confirm that there is absolutely no substance to that report and that no Saints officials have spoken to any club about the prospect of Montagna leaving the club where he has spent the past 12 years.

St Kilda Head of Football Chris Pelchen has made it clear in several public statements in recent weeks that Montagna was not up for trade.
He reiterated the club’s position on Monday.
"We can emphatically dismiss reports over the weekend that St Kilda had been considering a trade involving Leigh Montagna,” Pelchen said.
“As stated last week, we have not discussed 'Joey' with any other club and he is both a contracted and required player for 2014.
"Any report to the contrary is totally incorrect."
