ST KILDA could enter Sunday’s clash against West Coast with a total of six changes from the team that lost to Geelong by 96 points last weekend.

While it seems unlikely Alan Richardson would make that many alterations, especially considering Luke Dunstan’s shoulder injury would be the only forced change; the extended interchange bench does include a few pleasant surprises and fresh blood.

Darren Minchington has been named in the squad for the first time this year after being upgraded from the rookie list on Thursday.

The elusive midfielder/forward debuted in Round 20 last year against the eventual premiers Hawthorn, before retaining his place in the side for the following weeks’ clash against Sydney at the SCG.

"Darren was up and about," Paul Hudson said in this week's VFL player breakdown.

"He had almost 20 possessions and kicked the one behind, but his best asset was how he was able to cause some really important turnovers for us and got the ball going our way. The intensity and enthusiasm he showed was first class too, and his leg speed was a lot higher."

Shane Savage, Rhys Stanley and Sam Dunell have also been included on the seven-man interchange which will be cut to four on Friday afternoon and finalised at 1.50pm on Sunday.
