DEFENDER Shane Savage and his partner Sarah have welcomed a baby boy into the world.
Jett Isaac Savage was born late on Tuesday night weighing 3.6kg.
Mum and bub are said to be doing well, Savage telling SAINTS.com.au the couple was “extremely happy” with the safe arrival.
Jett was due to arrive as a timely Christmas present for the couple, with his due date penned for December 25.
St Kilda players returned to pre-season training this morning after the Christmas and New Year break, but Savage will join the group a little later in the month to spend time with his newborn.

It’s the second baby for the Saints this pre-season, with captain Nick Riewoldt and his wife Catherine delivering joy to thousands of St Kilda fans across the country when father-son prospect James Riewoldt was born on December 4 last year.
Savage enjoyed a stellar second half to the 2014 season until a freak-training incident saw him suffer a broken arm late in the year, ending his campaign prematurely.
The former Hawk, who has notched 70 AFL games in his career, will be looking to build on his form as a half back in 2015.
