Five rookies are in the mix to be selected for senior elevation including popular Saint Ahmed Saad, veteran Adam Schneider, American recruit Jason Holmes and first year rookies Jack Sinclair and Brenton Payne.
GM of Football Performance Jamie Cox said the club would not upgrade any rookies until the match committee considered selection next week.
“The opportunity is there for these players to show how hard they’ve worked in the pre-season and stake their claim for a round one call up,” he said.
“Obviously two of those players have played at the elite level already and many have shown glimpses in the NAB Challenge so it will be a decision that is made at the selection table.”
Siposs will recover for up to three months after re-injuring his shoulder in December while Ross is expected to be sidelined for between nine and 11 weeks.
Rehabilitation is progressing for Markworth who is yet to be assigned a timeframe for his recovery from a shoulder injury.
