ST KILDA’S injury list is down to just three players following the news that Shane Savage has recovered from concussion and Farren Ray is available for selection.

Savage was concussed late in the first term on Saturday and replaced by Jack Sinclair, who kicked two goals in the seven-point win.

“We did need one bloke who needed to have a concussion test and that was Shane Savage,” Head physio Andrew Wallis said.

“He passed that this morning, so he’s available for selection.”

Ray’s return from a right hamstring tear that forced him into surgery has been 10 weeks coming, and the 197-game wingman is looking forward to returning to action this weekend.

“I’m happy to be back because it’s been a long stint in rehab,” Ray told SAINTS.com.au.

“It was a bit of a setback in NAB 1 and now my hamstring is feeling really good.”

Teammate Seb Ross has joined Ray for the vast majority of the rehab process with both midfielders suffering hamstring tears at a similar time.

“I’ve always got along well with Seb and he’s a ripper fella. He will be a great player for the club,” Ray said.

“Having him with me has just made rehab so much easier. It can be a lonely place but every minute I’ve had Sebby there next to me.”

Meanwhile, Daniel Markworth is three weeks away from a return and Arryn Siposs six weeks away.

Both players are progressing well following shoulder surgery and are back training with the main group, aside from any contact work.
