Sandringham senior coach and St Kilda development coach Paul Hudson runs a ruler over the individual performance of the Saints-listed players following Sunday's win.
MATCH REPORT: Paddy boots four in thrilling win
VFL STATS: Round 11
Tom Curren and Blake Acres
Both looked good in the first quarter until they got injured. It was a great win considering the fact we only had two players on the bench.
INJURY UPDATE: Acres and Curren sidelined
Jack Sinclair
It was Jack’s first game for Sandringham and he performed well. He had 20 touches, nine clearances and kicked a goal. His composure and link play was really important for us around the ground. In pressure situations his ball use is tremendous.
Nathan Wright
Nathan provided great run off half-back. His tackling was excellent and he played a really important role for us.
Daniel McKenzie
Daniel was terrific and his last quarter was especially good. He played mostly on the wing but drifted down to half-back and had an influence there as well.
Tom Simpkin
Tom’s commitment and ability to neutralise the ball was fantastic. He never shirks and issue and was also a bit more damaging offensively with 16 disposals. He attacks the ball and often his opponent comes off second best!
Tom Hickey
Tom started slowly but stood up in the last quarter. He hit the scoreboard with one goal from a free-kick.
Ahmed Saad
Ahmed was lively and worked hard all day. He had four shots on goal which shows that he was dangerous.
Cameron Shenton
Cam started down back but then we moved him forward. To his credit, he was able to adapt regardless of what position he was playing and ended up doing well for us in front and behind the ball. He took some really strong marks.
Paddy McCartin
Paddy kicked four goals, three behinds, and had a hand in four or five others. He had a really solid game with eight marks and 14 disposals. As a key position player, to get that much of the ball was a great return. He was one of our best.
Josh Saunders
Josh played predominantly forward and through the wing. He didn’t get as much of it but had five clearances for us. Defensively he needs to tighten up a little sometimes and not get caught ball watching, but on the whole he was good.
Eli Templeton
Eli didn’t have a massive amount of possessions but he made up for it with his tackling and pressure. He was probably in good positions at times and wasn’t used.
Tom Lee
Tommy didn’t have his best day but he’s been good for us all year so we’re confident he will bounce back. He learnt a great deal from Sunday’s game.
Jason Holmes
Jason’s tap work was good in tandem with Tommy Hickey. His development is really impressing us at the moment.
Hugh Goddard
We ended up throwing Hugh down back after he imposed himself up forward with some strong tackles. A bit like Cam Shenton, he acquitted himself well regardless of where he played.

Arryn Siposs
Was best on ground and played through the midfield with over 30 disposals.
Brenton Payne
Booted three goals up forward and looked really strong.
Spencer White
Spencer played down back this week and used his legs really well offensively.
Lewis Pierce
Lewis was terrific in the ruck and ran the game out really well.
Brodie Murdoch
Brodie had a good first half on the wing and then dropped off a bit in the second half.

Daniel Markworth
Daniel played on the wing and was pretty damaging with his ball use and running ability. He’s still working his way back into things.
Joe Baker-Thomas
Joe looked good in defence this week. His spoiling was excellent and so was his body work.
Belt it loud, boys. BIG WIN. Top 4, thanks. #PJVFL pic.twitter.com/H8vei0Qg99
