Sandringham senior coach and St Kilda development coach Paul Hudson runs a ruler over the individual performance of the Saints-listed players following Sunday's win.
MATCH REPORT: Magpies edge past Zebras
VFL STATS: Round 12
Jason Holmes
Jason played in the ruck and kicked a lovely goal. He played on Grundy which was a good challenge for him. The stats indicate that he broke even which was a good result.
Nathan Wright
Nathan was slightly down offensively and didn’t get as much of the ball as he usually does. However, his defensive work was excellent again.
Daniel McKenzie
Dan gave great effort and cracked in all day. He started to get his hands on it in the second half and generally became more dangerous as the game wore on.
Josh Saunders
Josh played a good all-round game. He dug in early and finished with 23 touches, which was a positive return. His clearance work was especially good.

Paddy McCartin
Like most of our players, Paddy was better in the second half than what he was in the first. He took four contested marks and kicked a couple of goals. This week he played a bit higher than he has done previously which allowed him to impact the play further afield.
Arryn Siposs
Arryn had 16 touches playing on the ball and a little bit up forward. He was a little bit rusty with his ball use but in some ways that was to be expected given he has only just returned from a shoulder reconstruction.
Tom Lee
Tom’s defensive work was good and he held his direct opponent well. His foot skills are excellent and he is continuing to work on his decision making, especially from kick-ins.
Brenton Payne
Brenton was one of our best and it was definitely his best game for the season. He led and presented really well, and although he only kicked one, his repeat efforts were fantastic. He had a super game.
Cameron Shenton
Cam played the majority of the game down back but we through him forward later and he kicked a goal. When in defence, he took the game on but we probably didn’t do a good enough job of getting the ball in his hands.
Hugh Goddard
Hugh had a mixed game. He played in defence and did a solid job without being outstanding.

Eli Templeton
Eli was one of our best. He played midfield and forward for a bit and got his hands on it with 23 touches and five tackles. It was a well-rounded game for Eli.
Ahmed Saad
Ahmed turned it on in the last quarter when we got back into the game, but he was fairly quiet for the first three terms.
Tom Simpkin
Tom was defensively was very good. His tackling and pressure was excellent but we just need him to be more damaging offensively. In saying this, you can’t question his desire and commitment.
Tom Hickey
Tom had a quiet game by his standards. In the stoppages he did ok in putting his head over the ball.
Luke Delaney
I thought Luke was best on ground. It was lucky we had him in the first half because the ball spent a lot of time in our back 50 and Luke consistently got in the way and made it difficult for Collingwood’s forwards.
DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE
Spencer White
Spencer played in defence used his legs well. We are working on his physicality around the contest at the moment.
Daniel Markworth
Daniel played on the wing and he is continuing to work his way back after a shoulder injury.
Brodie Murdoch
Brodie swung the game in our favour in the second half when he went from the wing into the midfield.
Joe Baker-Thomas
Joe was solid in defence and got his fair share of the ball as well.
