Sandringham senior coach and St Kilda development coach Paul Hudson runs a ruler over the individual performance of the Saints-listed players following Sunday's win.
MATCH REPORT: Membrey boots four as Zebras continue climb
VFL STATS: Round 17
Luke Delaney
Luke played down back and had a solid game. He got a little bit of the ball but we’d like him to take a few more marks.
Jason Holmes
Jason did well in the hit outs but probably didn’t as much of the ball around the ground as we would have liked. However we won the clearances by 10, which was a reflection of Jason’s ruck work.
Tom Lee
Tommy had a very good game. He is relishing playing at full-back and generally delivers the ball so well out of defence.
Daniel Markworth
Our criticism of Daniel recently has been his low contested ball numbers. But on Sunday, he went and found it himself. The split between contested ball and uncontested ball was even. He was strong in the contest and ran well too.
Tim Membrey
Tim booted four goals and two behinds. Even though this was an excellent return, it’s some of his defensive work that is most pleasing. He makes it very hard for defenders to find any space and shuts them down.

Darren Minchington
Darren’s work rate was elite. He laid 17 tackles, collected 27 possessions and competed unbelievably hard for the entire game. He was our best player.
Brodie Murdoch
Brodie played in the midfield and was quite strong in the clinches. We played him on one of Port Melbourne’s best players and he had the better of him. A lot of his work went unrewarded.
Brenton Payne
Brenton statistically didn’t get a lot of the ball but he kicked a goal and we were pleased with his running patterns. He was used on the lead a couple of times and probably could have been used on a few more occasions too. His role was selfless and helped us win.
Lewis Pierce
Lewis came back in after playing a couple of games in the Development League and did well in the ruck with Jason Holmes. He also kicked a goal after coming straight off the bench in the game.

Farren Ray
Farren’s attitude and leadership was terrific as always for us. He had 30 touches and had a couple of opportunities to kick a goal but elected to pass them off. He links up really well and had a very good match.
Ahmed Saad
Ahmed had a good balance from a defensive and offensive perspective. He laid eight tackles and four goal assists – which is pretty good for a small forward.
Josh Saunders
Josh was a little bit quieter this week. He played predominantly forward and spent time on the wing, although he will spend more time in the midfield in coming weeks.
Cameron Shenton
Cam had a blinder. He had 28 touches and kicked 2.1 from half-back. He was really aggressive and creative for us in that role.
Eli Templeton
Eli took us about a quarter to get going. I put a bit of a rocket up him and he responded perfectly. He began to get his body work right and started to take his marks. It ended up being a good game for Eli.
Spencer White
Spencer didn’t get a great deal of the ball but his running patterns were decent and he laid five tackles which was a positive.
DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE
Arryn Siposs
Arryn had a good game playing through the midfield and up forward. He went and found his own footy and used his foot skills really well.
Joe Baker-Thomas
Joe’s defensive work was good and his spoiling continues to impress.
