We improved in a lot of areas from 2014. It was great to get a lot of games into some young fellas who are showing signs of becoming stars. I think we went forward as a team and hopefully we can improve further next year.
I always had confidence in the group. I knew that if everyone stayed injury free we could have a better year. We didn’t really set any limits.
Externally, people didn’t rate us. It was good to go out there and show them up on a few occasions, but we still have a long way to go and want to be better.
Our pressure was unbelievable at times this year. We worked hard at that part of our game and also looked to attack more when we got the ball. It’s not perfect but there has been a hell of an improvement. It’s good to see.
Dylan Roberton was our biggest improver in my view. He obviously had a difficult 2014 and what he came out and did this year was unbelievable. He’s stepped up the most. Sean Dempster also improved this year, which shows that it doesn’t just have to be young players who develop their games. He's a gun.

My highlight for the year was the comeback against the Doggies. We were a long way down and didn’t really think we had a shot but we got back in the game and had this great spark about the way we were playing. The young players like Jack Billings and Jack Lonie led the way. It was an amazing feeling to win that game.
We were fatigued for the last two games of the season. We obviously played some really good sides as well and we are young and still learning. It was a pretty frustrating way to finish the year after the good things we did.
I’ve been lucky to avoid injury over the past couple of years. I’ve played a few different roles and have been lucky enough to hold my spot, which I’m pretty happy about.
I feel I’m in a good position to direct and help my teammates now after 69 games. I feel a whole lot more comfortable out there on the field.
There are plenty of things I need to work on. The main one is strength and under tackle pressure I need to be stronger and aggressive to feed the ball to teammates. I’m always working on fitness, strength and skills.
I’m going to Bali on a surf trip with five of the guys and our weights coaches. It’s me, Josh Bruce, Jack Steven, Tom Hickey and the coaches. We’ll be there for a week and then I will stay an extra week with some school mates.
