A hard-running midielder, Saunders was the No.43 pick in the 2012 National Draft.
After debuting in Wellington, New Zealand on Anzac Day, Saunders’ game went from strength to strength and finished the year with 10 games of AFL experience under his belt.
The former Geelong Falcon’s greatest strength is his elite endurance and despite a light frame, he was rarely pushed off the ball in his debut season.
Saunders was delisted by St Kilda at the end of 2015 but will remain on the rookie list.
