The re-signings continue at St Kilda with Maverick Weller the latest to commit to the club by way of a two-year contract extension.
The deal will see Weller stay a Saint at least until the end of 2018.
In inaugural member of the foundation Gold Coast team, Weller played 32 games in three seasons with the Suns before crossing to the Saints where he has played a further 36 games.
Weller was initially on the rookie list upon arrival at St Kilda but quickly worked his way up the ranks to establish himself as a key part of the Saints’ midfield and forward line.
At the start of 2015 Weller was officially elevated to the St Kilda leadership group and went on to win the club’s player trademark award that was presented at the Best and Fairest.

The 23-year-old said he was thrilled to put pen to paper in committing to a St Kilda future.
“There is a real buzz around St Kilda at the moment and I’m stoked to be able to extend my commitment to the club,” Weller said.
“I see some real promise and excitement around the Saints and I’m looking forward to helping our young group continue to improve.”
St Kilda coach Alan Richardson said Weller had brought tremendous leadership to the Saints.
“In his two years so far, Maverick has proven himself to be an integral part of our team and we are delighted to have him commit to a two-year contract extension,” Richardson said.
“Maverick is an impressive player and strong character, proven by his rise from the rookie list to the leadership group in less than 12 months.”

St Kilda Chief Operating Officer Ameet Bains said the contract extension was a testament to Weller’s perseverance.
“Maverick has impressed everyone at the club since his arrival at the end of 2013. He has worked hard since arriving as a rookie and his contract extension reflects reward for effort,” Bains said.
“Over the past four months we have re-signed leadership group members David Armitage, Jarryn Geary, Sean Dempster and now Maverick in a strong sign that our leaders are committing themselves to an exciting future at St Kilda.”
