St Kilda has finalised its Round 1 side to face Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval on Sunday, with the Saints’ 2015 first-round draft pick Jade Gresham earning a debut.

Tom Lee, Tom Curren and Jack Sinclair were the three players to be omitted from the preliminary squad named on Thursday night.

After an injury scare in the Saints’ final hit out of the NAB Challenge series against Melbourne, Captain Nick Riewoldt has been cleared to travel across to South Australia and will become just the fifth player in the game’s history to captain 200 games.

Decorated wingman Leigh Montagna will also reach a major milestone on Sunday afternoon when he represents the red, white and black for the 250th time.

The dual All Australian joins esteemed company in the milestone club, with some of the Saints biggest names including Riewoldt, Robert Harvey, Kevin Neale, Stewart Loewe, Barry Breen and Lenny Hayes.

A first-round debut caps off an impressive maiden summer at Linen House Centre for Gresham, with the ball magnet showing promise in his two NAB Challenge outings.

St Kilda Senior Coach Alan Richardson has elected to head to Adelaide with only one specialist ruckman in tow, handing Tom Hickey the responsibility against Port Adelaide’s Matthew Lobbe.
