St Kilda Coach Alan Richardson and the match committee may face a selection conundrum this week, with youngsters Jack Billings and Jimmy Webster a chance to return from injury to face Adelaide.
The pair missed Saturday’s 34-point win over Fremantle - the Saints’ second consecutive win - with Jack Sinclair and Brodie Murdoch replacing the duo against the Dockers.
Both Billings and Webster are no guarantees to return at any level this weekend just yet, with the pair needing to prove their fitness later in the week before being declared available for selection.
Sandringham had a bye last weekend due to the representative game between the VFL and the SANFL, but prior to that the Zebras defeated Werribee with Jack Lonie, Blake Acres, Eli Templeton and Lewis Pierce all starring.
Pierce, Acres and Darren Minchington were all named as emergencies last weekend, with ruckman Pierce seemingly closing in on a debut after he was named as part of the extended squad for the second time in a matter of weeks.
Acres collected 38 possessions, 17 contested possessions and six tackles in his last appearance at VFL level and could come back into the fold. The West Australian wingman has played five games this season and was awarded the Rd 6 Rising Star nomination for his performance against Melbourne.
Whilst Templeton has constructed a large body of work since his last AFL appearance against Hawthorn in Round 4. The Tasmanian midfielder is averaging 28.5 possessions in the four games since his last appearance at the highest level.
Livewire forward Lonie has spent the last fortnight outside the senior side, but he did his chances of a recall no harm against Werribee, collecting 29 possessions, six tackles and booting four goals to press his claims for another senior opportunity.
