St Kilda Football Club has today made a further four changes to its playing list ahead of the AFL’s List Lodgement (1) on Monday 31 October.
Cameron Shenton, Brodie Murdoch, Tom Lee and Eli Templeton have been advised that they will not be offered contracts for 2017.
Taken by St Kilda at pick No. 30 in the 2012 Rookie Draft, Shenton was elevated to the senior list in 2014 and played 24 games over his five years at the club.
South Australian-born Murdoch was recruited from Glenelg at pick No. 40 in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft and played 22 games with the Saints.
Defender Tom Lee was selected at pick No. 60 by Adelaide Football Club in the 2008 NAB AFL Draft before returning to his former team Claremont in 2009. The 25-year-old was then picked up by St Kilda as part of a trade with the GWS Giants in 2012 where he went on to play 17 games.
Templeton was recruited to St Kilda with pick No. 3 in the 2014 Rookie Draft before earning an elevation to the senior list at the end 2014, playing a total 14 games with the Saints.
Chief Operating Officer Ameet Bains praised the four players for their contribution to the club.
“We really appreciate the contribution that Cameron, Brodie, Tom and Eli have made to St Kilda Football Club as both people and players. Each of the boys should be proud of their ongoing effort and level of professionalism during their time with the club,” Bains said.
“We sincerely wish each of the players the best with their future endeavours and thank them for their dedication to St Kilda Football Club.”
