St Kilda Football Club is excited to announce its new partnership with apparel label, XBlades.

XBlades was founded in the 1980s specifically Australian sports in mind; a tradition they’re proud to continue through partnering with St Kilda FC. 

St Kilda Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer Christine Finnegan said she was looking forward to a long and productive partnership with XBlades.

“We’re really thrilled to have XBlades come on board as part of the St Kilda family,” Finnegan said. Following the disappointing news relating to BLK we undertook a significant tender process in collaboration with our consumer team and the AFL. 

XBlades demonstrated throughout this process that they were committed to cementing a long-term relationship with the Saints family and It’s great to be heading into the season with a fresh look XBlades kit.

“Our club is currently in an exciting position and there’s a lot to look forward to in the future.

“It’s great to have XBlades on board as part of that journey.” 

In coming seasons, players will take part in the product design process with XBlades, making the St Kilda on-field kit one-of-a-kind.

With AFL champion Jimmy Bartel at the helm of product development at XBlades, Finnegan said there were several players with design aspirations at the Saints.

“We’ve already engaged with several players to assist in the development of our 2018 line,” Finnegan said.

“We’ll always be red, white and black, but it’s about making the kit as efficient, effective and cutting edge as it can be to give our players every opportunity to perform at their best.” 

XBlades will supply the Saints with their official playing guernseys, shorts and socks, as well as training and off-field apparel.
