Armed with a list of numbers and a headset, 18 of the Saints' emerging young contingent took to the phones with the aim of talking all things membership.
Naturally, competition took over and the boys were split into three groups - Team Red, Team White and Team Black - the aim of the game being who could bring the most members on board for 2018.
His nickname may be 'Freezer', but Nathan Freeman was anything but icy on the phone. The charismatic midfielder was straight to work, quickly winning over hearts through the landline before introducing teammate Brandon White to the fold.
There was a lot of Ron Burgundy about Freeman on Wednesday night.
Freeman's hard work helped Team White surge to an early lead, leaving Josh Battle and Jack Steele to revise their strategy as they looked on from Team Red.
The response from Battle was strong, the young spearhead rising to the challenge with vigour only to be met with the analog beep of an answering machine.
A focused Josh Battle was channeling his inner Jerry Maguire
As Irish recruit Ray Connellan pondered the pronounciation of Australian surnames, Jack Steele found himself doing his best Joey Tribbiani impression while he fought to bring Team Red into the black.
"What do you mean you're not a member?"
Despite a late charge from Steele's Team Red, it was Freeman's Team White who held on in the end, emerging victorious after more than two and a half hours on the line.
As the boys continue to sweat it out on the track, it's not too late to do your part and renew your membership for 2018.
