Continuity has been almost a decade in the making for the wily Jimmy Webster, but 57 games in the past three seasons has seen him mostly put his injury-interrupted woes behind him.

After 12 years in the red, white and black, Webster celebrated a special milestone with his 150th game coinciding with his first ever finals appearance, but in his mind that was all secondary as he pieced together another consistent campaign.

Flying into contests with a mixture of brazenness and courage and with his raking left foot to boot, the wily Tasmanian cemented himself as a critical part of St Kilda’s defence under the guidance of senior coach Ross Lyon and assistant coach Corey Enright.

The no-fuss defender hadn’t played a senior game since early 2019 before his re-establishment in the senior line, with back, hand and hamstring niggles sidelining him for almost two years before his fine return.
