Offering players from multicultural and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds opportunities to advance their individual growth and skills as they go through the mainstream AFL talent pathway, Moorabbin Airport STK Academy is the club's leading participation and pathways program for aspiring footballers.
Moorabbin Airport STK Academy is centred on the attraction, retention and development of talented players who can go on to play at the highest level, whilst simultaneously growing participation in under-represented segments of the community.
Under the tutelage of head coach Brendon Goddard, participants have full access to St Kilda Football Club's elite facilities at RSEA Park in Moorabbin and the newly built Healthy Futures Hub in Seaford to unlock their potential on and off the field.
Our allocated Elite Talent Program zone is the bayside region of Melbourne. With such a strong footballing region, our zone is separated into two hubs and sees us work closely with the following community football partners:
- Northern Hub: Sandringham Dragons & South Metro Junior Football League
- Southern Hub: Dandenong Southern Stingrays & Frankston & District Junior Football League
To-date, Moorabbin Airport STK Academy has produced seven graduates who have since been recruited to AFL clubs, including current Saints Mitch Owens, Marcus Windhager and Category B Rookie Angus McLennan.
