Peking Duk will light up Round One, with the ARIA Award winning electronic duo set to perform ahead of St Kilda's season opener with Collingwood on Friday 18 March.
Christening the newly upgraded Marvel Stadium lights, LEDs and screens, fans will be treated to several songs pre-game, with the performance set to start from 7.15pm.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have fans back in the stands this season, and what a way to welcome them back,” St Kilda CEO Matt Finnis said.
“We love playing at Marvel Stadium and have been lucky to be able to do so over the past two years despite COVID, but it isn’t the same when the stands are empty.
Hailing from the same hometown of Canberra as Saints captain Jack Steele, Peking Duk’s Reuben Styles and Adam Hyde said they were looking forward to kicking off the season with the club.
“After a few turbulent years for Melburnians we cannot wait to return to play some tunes for a packed-out Marvel Stadium for St Kilda’s opening game,” Hyde said.
“Growing up in the ACT we didn’t see a lot of AFL, but I was a Saints fan back in the day when I was playing the great game in my teens,” Styles added.
“And how could we not get behind the legend and fellow Canberran Steeley heading up a killer team for what will be a killer season?!”
Tickets for Friday night’s clash are still available via Ticketmaster, with fans encouraged to get to the ground early.
