What are the benefits of my child participating in SaintsPlay?

Designed for children with developmental challenges, Saints Play is an inclusive, fun, footy program. We see the benefits to the participants including enhancing social connectivity & confidence in participants. Providing a safe, inclusive space for children who may find it hard to join local footy clubs or Auskick and allowing the children to be themselves and be proud of that.

Can I claim the cost through the NDIS?

Yes, you can claim the full amount of $40 per session through the NDIS Plan through Daily Activities or Social and Community participation under Core Supports. We will provide receipts after each session or after upfront payment and that can be used to claim through the NDIS.

Can I come and see if my child/children like it before committing to the program?

Yes! We provide free Come & Try sessions for families to see if they enjoy the program before signing up!

What does a session entail?

You can access the social script which explains the process to make it as smooth as possible for families. We usually start with some free play at the start to let the children settle in the environment, followed by a warm-up and some rotations of fun footy skills and then we finish with a fun game that is inclusive of everyone.

Is it an inclusive environment?

Yes! It is a very inclusive and fun environment and one that is inclusive of all abilities. With a high coach to participant ratio, all participants get a lot of help by our highly trained coaches!

Does my child have to have autism to participate?

SaintsPlay is an all-abilities footy program that is designed to be inclusive for everyone. It is targeted but not limited to children with developmental challenges such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning difficulties or ADHD.

Where are the programs run?

Tuesdays 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Location: RSEA Park, 32-60 Linton Street, Moorabbin VIC 3189

Saturdays 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Location: Healthy Futures Hub, 151 East Road, Seaford VIC 3198

Will we get to meet any of the players?

Yes! We have player appearances from both our AFL and AFLW team which is very exciting!
