Following last weekend’s BYE, St Kilda face two consecutive away trips with the Easter Thursday clash against Brisbane at the Gabba tomorrow night, and then a trip to AAMI Stadium to take on the Adelaide Crows in Round 6.
Many would say that two away trips on the trot is a huge disadvantage for the Saints, however, forward Justin Koschitzke sees the travel as a positive that may benefit his side.
“It will be great for us. Our away record has been pretty first class over the past few years and the group travels well together” he said.
“It’s come at a really good time and the boys look forward to it,” said Koschitzke
The statistics support Koschitzke’s comments, as the Saints have recorded victories in 10 out of 11 away games over the past two seasons.
After a disappointing start to Season 2011, the away fixtures in Rounds 5 and 6 provide the Saints with a golden opportunity to kick start their season and find the form they are capable of.
