St Kilda Football Club advises that Graeme Allan has been appointed to an advisory role within the club’s football program.

Allan’s role will focus largely on supporting the list management and recruiting team in the areas of player acquisition, retention, and overall list strategy.

General Manager of Football Simon Lethlean said Allan would also support the broader football program as required.

“Graeme’s primary role will be supporting James Gallagher and his team as we continue to evolve our list strategy,” Lethlean said.

“His vast knowledge and experience around list strategy and player acquisition will be important, but we think he can add great value to a number of areas within the football program as well,” he said.

Lethlean said Allan was another addition that would bolster the football program immediately.

“We have made several changes to our football program in recent months,” he said.

“James Gallagher has taken over the role as list manager; Brett Ratten, Brendon Lade and Jake Batchelor have joined the club as assistant coaches; Darren O’Shaughnessy has taken on the new role of senior analyst, and last week we welcomed Billy Slater to the role of leadership development coach.”

“Graeme adds another layer of experience to the football program, and we look forward to how this group can work together with the coaching of Alan Richardson to deliver a significantly improved on-field performance.”

Allan will begin the full-time role on November 1.
