Power forward Paddy McCartin will be unavailable for selection in the Saints’ Round 1 clash against the Gold Coast Suns.

Head Physiotherapist Andrew Wallis confirmed McCartin is still experiencing some concussive symptoms following a head knock in JLT 2 against the Bulldogs, with further testing to follow.

Ruckman Billy Longer is still 1-2 weeks away following a hamstring injury sustained earlier in the summer, while Dan Hannebery continues to build his conditioning and should be set to re-join the main training group within weeks.

Max King is on the cusp of joining the main training group, with only an agility test standing in between the highly-prized draftee and full training.
