Kate Shierlaw and Tarni White have informed St Kilda Football Club of their wishes to be traded to other AFLW clubs in this year’s trade period.
Shierlaw and White were both foundation players of the Saints, joining ahead of the club’s inaugural season in 2020.
“Kate and Tarni have both significantly contributed to the Saints’ AFLW program throughout their time with the club,” Head of AFLW Tessie McManus said.
“Kate has done so especially through her roles as a captain and vice-captain, as well as her Best and Fairest winning performance last season.
“Both Kate and Tarni were popular among our playing group, as well as among our fan base, and we thank them for everything they gave to our club.
“We’ll now work to facilitate appropriate deals with the relevant clubs to make these moves happen for the best of the players and the clubs involved.”
Shierlaw first took to the AFLW stage with Carlton, making her debut in Round 2 of the 2017 season.
After being delisted by the Blues, she joined St Kilda as part of the Southern Saints' VFLW program. From there, she was elevated to the AFLW list, going on to play 34 games in the red, white and black.
White joined the Saints with pick No. 30 in the 2019 AFLW draft, nominating for the Victorian draft pool opposed to her native Queensland.
Since making her debut in St Kilda's inaugural game in 2020, she represented the Saints on 32 occasions.
