The most anticipated evening on St Kilda’s calendar will come complete with one of the club’s most iconic looks, with the 150th Year Heritage Guernsey to be worn in Round 3 at the MCG against Essendon.

Taking inspiration from the red, white and black’s most treasured moment – the 1966 Premiership –  the guernsey incorporates several classic elements. Taking pride of place is the club’s classic Crest, noticeably enlarged and placed on a raised embroidered patch to commemorate all the club stands for.

The guernsey reintroduces a white collar, black cuffs and fine pinstripes inside the red and black panels to mirror the design worn by the likes of legends Darrel Baldock, Ross Smith and Barry Breen.

St Kilda will additionally wear black shorts and traditional hooped socks to complete the timeless strip.

“Strength Through Loyalty has long been at the heart of St Kilda Football Club,” the inner wording on the guernsey reads.

“It has been embodied by many over our 150 years; from those who have championed the mantra on-field, to the fans who have lived and breathed it from the stands and beyond.

“This commemorative guernsey represents not only all who have stood by the red, white and black in our first 150 years, but those who will do so for many years to come.”
