Beth Pinchin's long and winding road to the big-time will culminate this Sunday when she debuts this Sunday afternoon in St Kilda's AFLW season opener against North Melbourne.
Having first broken into the AFLW competition as an injury replacement player for Brisbane in 2021 before devastatingly rupturing her ACL later that year, the 26-year-old's journey has taken her across various clubs and states before her arrival at RSEA Park via this year's Supplementary Draft.
Taken at pick No. 20 having previously been a train-on player for the club and part of VFLW affiliate, the Southern Saints, Pinchin has impressed during her short time at the club through her competitiveness, buy-in and ball use to earn her senior berth.
Pinchin was told the news by senior coach Nick Dal Santo in lead-up to Sunday's game, with St Kilda's squad for Round 1 will be confirmed later this evening at 6:20pm AEST.
