St Kilda Football Club is proud to announce its first ever automotive partnership, joining forces with Chery Motor Australia to drive both organisations into the future.
The three-year partnership comes as Chery showcases its new model in Australia, the TIGGO 7 PRO, with the vehicle unveiled at tonight’s Trevor Barker Award.
“We could not be prouder to enter into this partnership with Chery,” St Kilda Chief Executive Officer Simon Lethlean said.
“The automotive sector is an industry we’ve been looking to partner with for some time and we feel we’ve found the perfect partner now in Chery.
“We’re both committed to pioneering our respective industries, constantly seeking to innovate and push the boundaries in order to grow and advance.
“Announcing this historic partnership really feels like the perfect way to round out our 150th year.”
Chery is a global auto manufacturer at the forefront of innovation and technology. Founded in 1997, Chery is one of the largest exporters of motor vehicles, exporting to more than 80 countries with over 12 million vehicles sold worldwide. In addition to auto manufacturing, the Chery global group is diversified across seven major industrial sectors including aviation, shipping and components.
“We are very excited to be partnering with St Kilda as their first automotive sponsor, and for the Chery brand to be entering the AFL landscape with the opportunity to connect with the Australian sporting audience,” commented Chery Motor Australia Managing Director Andy Zhang.
“The Chery brand represents innovation, style and performance, and these attributes align perfectly with the Saints.”
The sponsorship will see Chery installed as a Co-Principal partner of the club’s AFL program and Co-Major partner across AFLW. The Chery brand will feature on the back of both teams’ guernseys, plus the neckline of the men’s jumper. It will also be found on off-field apparel for both teams.
