Liam Stocker, Jimmy Webster, Ryan Byrnes and Zak Jones will go around in red, white and black for at least another season after inking one-year deals.
Joining St Kilda as a delisted free agent following four seasons at Carlton, Stocker played in all but one game in his debut season to form part of the Saints’ well-settled defensive unit.
A Saints fan since childhood, Stocker pieced together a career-best campaign with several commendable performances - particularly in the first half of the season - to entrench himself in the starting line-up.
Byrnes similarly enjoyed a career-best season in his role along the wing, adding a further 20 games to his name, while Webster was again a vital cog down back as the club made its way into September in Ross Lyon’s first season back at the helm.
Meanwhile, Jones was restricted to just four games in 2023 following calf and Achilles setbacks. The speedy midfielder returned to the line-up in Round 17, before a medial strain put a line through the remainder of his year.
“We’re very pleased to have Liam, Ryan, Zak and Jimmy sign on for 2024,” Acting General Manager of Football David Misson said.
“Liam’s passion for the club is evident, especially on game day, and his relentless attitude to make it back onto an AFL list has held him in good stead.
“Ryan has flourished and shown he has the makings to be part of our future, while Jimmy and Zak have the experience behind them to play critical roles moving forward.”
The 2023 Continental Tyres Trade Period commenced today and will run through until Wednesday 18 October.
