St Kilda’s fixture for the 2024 Toyota AFL Premiership Season has officially been revealed, with the dates, times and venues of the first 15 rounds of the season fully confirmed by the AFL this afternoon.

The Saints will open their campaign on the Saturday night prime-time stage against Geelong at GMHBA Stadium, before hosting Collingwood on Thursday night for a special home MCG clash in Round 2.

Following the significant success of the club’s 150th Anniversary Game at the venue earlier this year, the Saints will again look to pack out the ‘G, this time against the reigning Premiers on the game’s biggest stage. 

The Saints’ opening two matches will form part of seven prime-time matches prior to the bye, including two home game fixtures on Thursday night against Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs (Round 6), plus a further two on Friday night against Port Adelaide (away) and Brisbane (away).

Additionally, eight of the club’s first 14 matches will be produced and broadcast free-to-air on Channel 7 (simulcast on Fox Footy/Kayo), notably both Sir Doug Nicholls Round matches against Fremantle (Round 10, home) and Melbourne (Round 11, away); the latter serving as the club’s second game at the MCG for the season.

St Kilda will travel interstate six times prior to its allocated bye in Round 15, including Gather Round against Richmond at Norwood Oval (Round 4), however, will play eight of its last nine games at Marvel Stadium.

The Saints will face Geelong, Richmond, Port Adelaide, Brisbane, Essendon and West Coast twice throughout the course of the year.

“We are ready to embrace the 2024 season and everything that comes our way in order to build upon our promising campaign in 2023,” St Kilda CEO Simon Lethlean said.

“Having seven prime-time game games in the first half of the season, including our Round 2 home game at the MCG against Collingwood, is an incredible opportunity for our club and is due recognition for our efforts last season.

“However, if we are to take the next step forward as a club, we must continue to prove ourselves on the biggest stages and rally our loyal fans in record numbers so we can pack the aisles week after week.
