Jesse Wardlaw has capped off her first season in red, white and black as the club's leading poller from the 2023 W Awards, held tonight at Crown Palladium.
The key forward netted seven votes from three games, including a three-vote performance against the Western Bulldogs in Round 5 to finish clear of Georgia Patrikios (five votes) and tied quartet Nat Exon, Jaimee Lambert, Ash Richards and Tyanna Smith (all three votes).
Richards and Simone Nalder received their first career votes for their commendable matches against GWS and Brisbane respectively, while skipper Hannah Priest added another vote to her name following her influential hand against Hawthorn in Round 6.
Richmond's Monique Conti was crowed the 2023 AFLW Best & Fairest, ending the count on 23 votes and well ahead of joint runners-up Amy McDonald (Geelong), Chloe Molloy (Sydney), Ash Riddell (North Melbourne) and Claudia Whitfort (Gold Coast) on 16 votes apiece.
