Jack Steele has rocketed to the top of St Kilda's coaches' votes count to move five clear of previous leader Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, earning seven votes for yesterday's starring performance which handed the Saints a Gather Round triumph.
Steele amassed 33 disposals, 10 tackles and seven clearances in a dominant siren-to-siren display, playing close to a lone hand in the first half before inspiring his side to a come-from-behind win in a prolific second half.
It wasn't enough to oust Richmond's Shai Bolton however, who earned a perfect 10 votes from Ross Lyon and Adem Yze for his blistering four-goal performance which threatened to undo the Saints all afternoon.
Jack Sinclair (three votes), Josh Battle (two) and Callum Wilkie (one) earned their maiden coaches' votes for the season off the back of important efforts in defence, while Bradley Hill added another two to his tally.
Hill's experience and running ability both gave the Saints a boost heading into attack and kept the lively Daniel Rioli with his hands full in the second half.
Richmond's Dustin Martin (four) and Tim Taranto (one) rounded out the votes for Round 4.
