St Kilda Football Club’s commitment to enrich the lives of those who call the south home has taken another meaningful step forward, with the recently built Healthy Futures Hub to commence full operations at next week's Community Opening Day.

Developed in partnership between St Kilda Football Club and Frankston City Council, the vibrant community space located at Belvedere Reserve, Seaford, was constructed with the sole vision of improving the lives of all who come through its doors and utilise its many services.

Having first opened in August 2023, the Healthy Futures Hub has now reached 100 per cent activation after a successful inaugural year, housing 10 community partners specialising in physical health services, intergenerational health, all-abilities care and community sport.

In celebration of the facility’s Community Opening Day on Saturday 20 July, all community partners will activate and showcase their respective services available for community use, while visitors will also be able to tour the multiple meeting rooms, boardrooms, basketball court, sports oval and theatre, which are all available to be hired out by the public.

Community partner Dandenong Southern Stingrays will also play two matches across the morning and afternoon to fully bring the facility to life for the first time, while Saints Play and Special Olympics Victoria will also run their own activations.

"We're thrilled to welcome the community to the Community Opening Day of the Healthy Futures Hub and showcase the facility at its full and thriving best," St Kilda Football Club/Healthy Futures Hub Venue Operations Manager Gareth Allen said.

"The community impact the Healthy Futures Hub has had over the past year has been significant, and we hope to extend that reach and highlight the many ways it can build and foster a connected, healthier and more positive community.

"We believe the Healthy Futures Hub has the ability to pioneer community healthcare models, make lasting differences through the work of our partners and above all, foster better health for all who come through the doors."

Frankston City Council Mayor Nathan Conroy the hub was a huge win for the community.

"It brings together 12 organisations offering a wide range of services related to learning, wellbeing and physical health that are accessible to everyone, regardless of age or ability."
