Hannah Priest is set to make history as the first player to notch up 50 AFLW games for St Kilda this coming season, with the skipper on track to reach the milestone at RSEA Park against Fremantle in Round 5.

Priest, currently sitting on 45 games, hasn’t missed a match for the club since its inaugural outing in front of a packed RSEA Park in Round 1, 2020 and has since gone on to become one of the side’s most reliable and respected faces.

The 32-year-old has served as St Kilda’s captain for 39 of her 45 games to-date (nine as co-captain) and will again take the reins for a fifth season in 2024.

Long-serving Saint Darcy Guttridge is also slated to bring up 50 games for the club in Ballarat in Round 10, as will Molly McDonald (currently 38 games) and Bianca Jakobsson (37) should St Kilda progress through to its inaugural finals campaign.

Nat Exon is three shy of the 50-game mark at AFLW level after stints at Carlton and Brisbane prior to her arrival at St Kilda, with Natalie Plane (Carlton), Serene Watson (Gold Coast) and Guttridge (Collingwood) also in the frame to raise the bat this year.

Meanwhile, AFLW veterans Jaimee Lambert and Nicola Stevens are encroaching on the 75 senior games having each begun their careers in the competition’s maiden season in 2017.
