Inaugural Saint Darcy Guttridge will continue to call RSEA Park home until at least the end of 2026, with the 24-year-old inking a fresh two-year extension.
Now in her sixth season in the red, white and black, Guttridge will celebrate the new deal alongside her 50th club game milestone this Sunday in Ballarat, becoming only the second player to reach the milestone behind captain, Hannah Priest.
“Darcy is an integral and valued member of our squad both on and off the field, we’re thrilled to see her sign on for another two seasons,” Executive General Manager of AFLW Tessie McManus said.
The No. 5 has had a breakout 2024 campaign, stepping up as a consistent and reliable force within the squad in the absence of forwards Nicola Xenos and Nat Exon. The silky half-forward currently sits second on the team’s goal kicking tally behind key forward, Jesse Wardlaw.
“It’s a privilege to have been a part of this team since its inception,” Guttridge said
“It’s a great feeling to be re-signing alongside such a connected group of girls who all share the same goal as we push towards future success.”
The Gippsland product started her career in black and white, joining Collingwood with pick No. 9 in the 2017 draft, before making the move to Moorabbin as part of St Kilda's inaugural AFLW team at the end of the 2019 season.
