St Kilda Football Club can confirm Max King underwent an exploratory arthroscope on his right knee this morning following reoccurring pain.

The 24-year-old has been managing the knee complaint for just under a month.

“We explored a number of non-surgical options to eliminate Max’s pain, with varying but ultimately not long-lasting success,” EGM Football David Misson said.

“The procedure went well, so now we’ll give Max some time to recuperate and establish a more definite return to play timeline from there.

“That being said, we don’t believe this will cause major delays to Max’s 2025 campaign and he’ll remain touch and go for Round 1.”

Rowan Marshall (pelvis) and Jack Sinclair (hamstring) remain on track for a Round 1 return but won’t feature against Port Adelaide in the club's AAMI Community Series game on Saturday.
