Jack Sinclair and Rowan Marshall are set to headline St Kilda’s Round 1 clash against the Crows at Adelaide Oval this Sunday.

The star pair successfully reintegrated into training last week after overcoming minor pre-season setbacks.

“Jack and Rowan have been really diligent in their respective recoveries, and we look forward to their inclusion on Sunday,” EGM Football David Misson said.

Meanwhile, Mitch Owens’ chances to join the team in South Australia remain alive with the forward needing to pass a fitness test this Friday.

The 21-year-old was sidelined after suffering a shoulder injury during St Kilda’s AAMI Community Series game against Port Adelaide.

“Mitch is definitely in the frame but will need to complete training in order to be available for selection,” Misson said.

Forward trio Max King (knee), Dan Butler (Achilles) and Cooper Sharman (hand) have been ruled out of Sunday’s game.

King will continue to build his training load this week as he aims for an early season return after undergoing an arthroscope on his knee last month.  Meanwhile Butler will remain in Melbourne after suffering Achilles soreness.

Marking a significant in his return from a stress fracture in his back, Alix Tauru has integrated into the main training group for the first time as a Saint.

The 18-year-old’s training load will progressively increase in the coming weeks as he works towards his return to play.
