Arie Schoenmaker

31 disposals, 26 kicks, six intercepts

Was a solid contributor and set us up with his kicking ability from the back half, particularly from kick-ins. Had some good defensive moments but looking for consistency.

Tobie Travaglia

25 disposals, nine tackles, one goal

Tobie’s effort and desire to will himself to the contest and run in general play is very strong. Working on his craft as an inside mid and will look to improve that area of his game.

Jack Carroll

26 disposals, 10 tackles, 13 clearances

Showed some good moments from stoppage with his power and speed, bursting away from packs. Was really strong around the contest to force a turnover and lay some strong tackles.

Angus Hastie

20 disposals, six marks, five intercepts

Had a role to play on one of their strong performing forwards in Shaun Mannagh. Did a great job to minimise his impact, while not having the impact with ball in hand that he would have liked.

Max Heath

13 disposals, 10 hitouts, one goal

Had some great moments in the contest with his ability to follow up and tackle and apply pressure as a big man. Was limited in his ruck game time with Boyd in the team but continued to compete.

Harry Boyd

12 disposals, 33 hitouts, four clearances

Played against an experienced premiership ruckman in Rhys Stanley and held his own. Probably didn’t have the impact around the ground he would have liked but was a strong contributor in his first game.

Hugh Boxshall

20 disposals, seven clearances, five tackles

His effort and intensity around the contest was really noticeable. As a first-year player his intent and attack on the ball is enormous and showed some signs inside with his body work and craft.

James Barrat

12 disposals, five marks, six intercepts

Showed some of his great strengths, ability to read cues and impact in the air. He’s still working on his ability to reposition and be strong in the contest one-on-one.

Patrick Said

12 disposals, two goals, three inside 50's

Showed some great signs up the ground. Was already a strong runner but showed his class and use as a wingman getting the ball further up and in defence.

Angus McLennan

13 disposals, three tackles, nine intercepts

Similarly to Hastie in that he had a clear role to play on Mannagh. Playing a slightly different role playing higher up the ground on smaller players and made good progress there.

Liam Henry

16 disposals, five score involvements, one goal

First game in nine months after injury, showed his class and use but for him it’s all about regaining that continuity and match fitness over the next block of games.

Alex Dodson

Nine disposals, four hitouts, two marks

Predominately played as a forward and is still working on his craft and ability to draw the ball as a big man. Gives us a contest but is showing some good signs in his mobility and ability to follow up and find the footy.
