Cooper Sharman is in the frame to make his 2025 debut this week, following pre-season thumb surgery.

The 24-year-old participated in a training session with the rest of the main group today, but will need to pass a fitness test on Thursday to put his hand up for selection against the Tigers this Saturday.

Sharman would be a welcome addition to the Saints' line-up, with goal-kicking duo Max King and Dan Butler set to miss the Round 2 clash.

Liam Stocker has entered concussion protocols after sustaining a concussion from a team-lifting tackle on Geelong’s Jack Bowes.

Hunter Clark’s return to play timeline is still being determined after the 25-year-old played out Saturday’s game with groin soreness.

Meanwhile, Mattaes Phillipou has reached a positive milestone in his stress fracture rehabilitation, with the 20-year-old completing several sessions on the Alter-G Treadmill this week. Fellow midfielder Paddy Dow has also ticked off his first run since before Christmas on the Alter-G and is set to run outside for the first time next week.

Key defender Dougal Howard has also made positive strides post shoulder surgery and is set to return to non-contact training in early April.
