With the 10th and final Maddie's Match around the corner, there have been a number of great moments both on and off the field that have shaped this special fixture.
Here are some of the best moments of the past 10 years of Maddie's Match.
The inaugural Maddie's Match
Maddie’s Match was first introduced to the footballing calendar in 2015 following the passing of Maddie Riewoldt, sister of club great Nick, who sadly lost her five-year battle with the Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome, Aplastic Anaemia.
The game was then organised to take place between the Saints, led by Nick, and the Tigers, with cousin Jack Riewoldt in the team. The Saints wore a jumper with purple on the back and the 'Maddie's Vision' logo above the crest for the first instalment of the game.
Nick was nursing a calf injury just prior to the game, but valiantly fought through to appear in front of a packed house on a Sunday afternoon, kicking a goal as the Saints fell just short of the Tigers.
Saints stun eventual premiers with first-half flurry
With so many amazing moments happening off the field, one of the most iconic to happen on it came in 2017 in the form of a demolition of the would-be premiers in the Tigers.
The Saints, who were fighting for a place in the top eight, stormed out of the blocks against the Tigers, kicking 14 goals in the first half and hardly putting a foot wrong.
The scoreline early in the third quarter showed a whopping 98-11, before the Tigers were able to stem the flow in the final term and reduce the margin to a 67-point win for the Saints.
Tim Membrey kicked five goals for the day, while Leigh Montagna had 31 disposals and two stunning long-range goals.
Nick Riewoldt had himself 15 disposals and three goals in what would be his final Maddie's Match before retiring at the end of the season.
Stars compete in Maddie's Challenge
In 2019, Maddie's Match brought in all the stars to help raise over $100,000 for Maddie's Vision in a brilliant night under the roof of Marvel Stadium.
Nick Riewoldt and Brisbane legend Jonathan Brown competed in a goal-kicking competition pre-game, while late St Kilda legend Danny 'Spud' Frawley raced megafan Aaron Gocs around the ground to the delight of the Saints faithful.
Many former Saints stars, such as Brendon Goddard, Nick Dal Santo and Luke Ball made appearances and helped raise money for the foundation on a fantastic night.
The Tigers ran out 33-point winners on the night, but the festivities and celebrations ensured a great night for all fans in attendance.
