RICHMOND 3.3 5.6 7.9 11.14 (80)
Arie Schoenmaker
30 disposals, seven marks, one goal
Had a really strong game and made great decisions with the ball. His competitiveness in the contest is something he’s been focusing on and we saw some good examples of that on the weekend.
Hugh Boxshall
18 disposals, 15 tackles, one goal
Started a little bit slow but worked his way into the game, especially on the defensive side with his massive tackle count. Won a lot of ball on the inside and is developing really well.
Harry Boyd
16 disposals, 37 hitouts, 13 clearances
Won the ruck battle and won a lot of the football around the ground with his clearance numbers a standout. He’s had a great attitude at the VFL level helping the younger midfielders both AFL and VFL-listed.
Angus McLennan
20 disposals, seven intercepts, six marks
Played quite a bit on Maurice Rioli Jr and we were happy with his output both with the ball and ability to limit his opponent’s impact on the contest. He’s been working on his decision-making with the ball and that’s coming along well.
Patrick Said
16 disposals, seven marks, five inside 50s
Continues to show a really strong work-rate and got himself involved both offensively and defensively. Learned some lessons around stoppages which he’ll continue to grow from.
Zaine Cordy
9 disposals, two goals, five tackles
Played a different role to what he has at AFL level, lining up as a key forward and helping ruck duties with Alex Dodson exiting the game. Competed well and brought the ball to ground as well as lead the forwards as a senior member of the team.
James Barrat
12 disposals, eight intercepts, six marks
Was solid again and really consistent with his ability to get up the ground and cover off exits. His body work and aerial ability is really strong and we’re happy with his development in his defensive role.
Liam Henry
11 disposals, six tackles, one goal
Still working his way back into match fitness and form after playing just his second game in eight months. We were happy with his GPS numbers and showed his skill with ball in hand.
Jack Carroll
17 disposals, five inside 50s, three tackles
Unfortunately sustained a hamstring injury in the contest but was showing his strong attributes around the contest after a slower start. Timeline for his return is currently unknown but we hope to see him back firing soon.
Alex Dodson
Two disposals, three hitouts, one inside 50
Was unfortunately concussed in the first quarter. We’re excited to see him back out there after he recovers and continue his work on his ruck craft and forward patterns.
