The fans have spoken, and stand-in skipper Seb Ross is the Round 19 Dare Iced Coffee Sainter of the Round. 

Ross was superb against Melbourne, willing his side to victory with a true captain’s performance to poll over half of the fan-voted award.

The No. 6 finished his evening with 31 disposals (15 contested), two goals, nine tackles, nine inside-50s, six clearances and 12 score involvements in what was one of his best outings in Season 2019. 

It was a display also recognised by the AFLCA, with the 26-year-old polling a perfect 10 for his performance.

Ross bookended his performance with class; his first touch in the opening quarter resulting in a terrific goal from the pocket, while the last term saw two clearances and 10 disposals go to his name. 

In second place is powerhouse forward Josh Bruce, who reeled in four goals and five marks to play a major hand in St Kilda’s triumph. 

Bruce registered a goal in each quarter – the final two of which were kicked at crucial times to put the Saints’ noses in front – and frequently put his body on the line by crashing through the packs. 

His strong aerial displays over the past month have been rewarded on the stats sheet, with the 27-year-old accruing 19 goals and 20 marks (12 contested) in his last four outings.

Rounding out this week’s voting is Jade Gresham, who was at his electric best under the roof.   

Saturday night marked a career-high 31 disposals for Gresham, with his ferocity at the contest matched by his sleek clearance work (eight) and elite running.
