Brandon White has enjoyed a superb year off half-back in the VFL and could slot seamlessly into Coffield’s role in defence. 

Armed with a precise kick and an ability to launch attacks off the half-back line, 22-year-old could have an immediate impact should he be selected. 

White has averaged 21 disposals and six marks across his 12 matches for Sandringham, playing just the one senior game this season before a corked thigh cut his run short. 

Best mate Bailey Rice has been chomping at the bit for several weeks now, with his grit, bullish presence and toughness at the contest holding him in good stead all season. 

Rice has been named as emergency the past six weeks and could find himself back in the red, white and black thanks to his unwavering commitment. 

Defender Daniel McKenzie could also be recalled to play his 50^th game against the Blues after missing last week’s match against Fremantle.

Veteran David Armitage would add a wealth of experience and has the ability to play off the half-back line and through the midfield. 

The 169-gamer has only played the two games this season, but the highly-respected Saint has been a strong leader in developing St Kilda’s up-and-coming talents in the VFL.
