St Kilda Football Club is pleased to announce Holmesglen Institute as the club’s official community education partner. Holmesglen Institute is a large TAFE in Melbourne with a key campus located close to St Kilda’s new Moorabbin headquarters at RSEA Park.
The partnership will see St Kilda and Holmesglen Institute work together on a range of initiatives, including using RSEA Park as a base for educating students when Stage 2 is completed.
St Kilda players and staff will also benefit from education opportunities with Jade Gresham, Josh Battle and Tim Membrey among a number of players currently engaged in courses at Holmesglen Institute.
As part of the partnership, the club will provide opportunities for Holmesglen students to complete work placements, while also including the education provider’s branding on the club’s media backdrop, fence signage at RSEA park and on VFL Women’s apparel.
Holmesglen Institute Chief Executive Mary Faraone said the partnership would continue to provide great opportunities for collaboration in the community.
“A key focus of our Vision 2020 is our commitment to continue to work with and within our communities,” she said.
“The partnership with St Kilda Football Club in Moorabbin has great potential to enhance our work in the communities we share.”
St Kilda General Manager of Commercial Chris Larkins said today’s announcement was an important step in building a strong and long lasting partnership with Holmesglen Institute.
“The partnership with Holmesglen Institute has already delivered a range of benefits to the club and we are excited to now formalise the partnership.
“We look forward to continuing to provide opportunities for Holmesglen students and develop the partnership over the coming years as Stage 2 of the redevelopment at RSEA Park is completed.”
