The inaugural Victorian Wheelchair Football League (VWFL) season is about to kick off and the Saints are ready to go.
Supported by The Robert Rose Foundation, the league features five teams who will compete in a 10-round competition. It's open to anyone with a physical disability, people with mobility issues as well as all able-bodied people interested in getting involved.
After a draft combine which saw more than 30 Victorians undergo a range of skill testing, we're proud to announce the eight players that will represent St Kilda in our maiden VWFL season.
St Kilda's VWFL side:
- Marcus Sander (Captain)
- Anthony Perito
- Antony Arulnesathasan
- Christy Arulnesathasan
- Lenny Redrose
- Patrick McKay
- Rosie Jenes
- Ryan Smith
The Saints are led by Marcus Sander, a former Federal Police Officer who has been at the forefront of the sport since its inception.
St Kilda will take on Essendon in their first game on Sunday 13 May at Boroondara Sports Complex at 11am. To view our full fixture for 2018 please click here.
