St Kilda spearhead Tim Membrey has continued his stunning breakout year, earning another AFL Media team of the week nomination following his effort against Carlton in Round 20.

Membrey, 22, booted his fourth bag of five goals this season – from just 14 games – to help lead the Saints to a commanding 71-point win at the MCG on Sunday.

Widely regarded as one of the most improved players in the game in 2016, Membrey was named in this week’s team alongside reigning Coleman medallist Josh Kennedy and Gold Coast Suns superstar Tom Lynch.

In only his second ever appearance at the home of football, Membrey also dragged in seven marks, including six grabs inside 50, along with 11 possessions (seven contested).

After 20 rounds, the former Sydney Swans forward leads St Kilda’s goal kicking on 39.18, ahead of last year’s leader Josh Bruce (35) and Captain Nick Riewoldt (30).
