Connect with likeminded professionals at the Business and Sport Luncheon and hear from cricket immortal and AVJennings Ambassador Steve Waugh AO.
The luncheon, which will take place on Friday 10 June at Crown Palladium, will provide professionals the opportunity to hear Waugh explain his transition into the business and philanthropic world.
The former Australian Cricket Team captain will discuss how the team-focused sporting philosophies gained during his time as a cricketer have remained important in his work with the Steve Waugh Foundation.
The luncheon will also see the coming together of some of the best goal-kickers of the competition including Jason Dunstall, Barry Hall, Jonathan Brown and Matthew Richardson for a discussion themed ‘bring back the power forward.’
With an extraordinary 3,394 goals kicked between them, guests will have the opportunity to listen to the former power forwards reminisce on a time when the power forward was the most intimidating player in the team, when kicking eight or nine goals in a match was not unusual.
In addition, hear from some of the great full-backs of the game including Dustin Fletcher, Danny Frawley, Brian Lake and Leo Barry, on what it was like to take on these big power forwards.
Hosted by Channel 9 and Triple M personality Seb Costello, guests will be treated to a premium three course food and beverage package as well as a post event invitation and networking opportunity at Club 23.
The Business and Sport Luncheon run in conjunction with True Believers and Friday Lunch Series is the perfect opportunity to entertain clients and meet other successful business professionals, with a shared registry of all attendees’ business contact details.
