ST KILDA could be set to unveil its ninth debutant of the season after Cameron Shenton was elevated from the rookie list on Thursday.

Shenton has become the fourth rookie to be elevated this season following on from Jackson Ferguson, Tom Curren and Darren Minchington.

That trio all went on to make their debuts this season, along with Nathan Wright, Josh Saunders, Jimmy Webster, Tom Lee and Brodie Murdoch.

The 22-year-old can play at either end of the ground and at 188cm can play in a variety of roles.

He has been pushing his case for senior selection strongly over the past month, being named in the best in each of Sandringham’s past four VFL games.

Shenton was drafted by the Saints with pick 30 at the 2012 Rookie Draft after impressing for SANFL club Norwood.
