St Kilda’s community partner Soldier On is encouraging people to join its Thank You Campaign.

For three years the Saints and Soldier On have been closely aligned, and now in the 100th anniversary year of the Gallipoli landings, the club is committed to paying tribute to all those brave soldiers that have entered the field of battle for our country.

St Kilda General Manager - Customer and Community Lisa Laing said the campaign was important in recognising the great work of Australia’s service men and women.

"We have been incredibly fortunate to meet some amazing people through our Soldier On relationship, hosting them and their families at the football and providing our playing group with an opportunity to hear some amazing stories of courage," Laing said.

"This thank you campaign is a great opportunity for the Saints to say thank you to Soldier On and to Australia’s Servicemen and women as we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing on Anzac Day."

Today, following conflicts around the world, thousands of veterans are feeling the effects of this service, with wounds that are both seen and unseen. Whether these brave men and women, or their families, need support now, in five years time, or at any time in the future, we want them to know we will always have their backs.

This year, on the 100th anniversary since our ANZACs fought bravely at Gallipoli, we would like to say thank you for your service.
