Exciting young forward Josh Battle will be sidelined for a short period after scans on Monday revealed a fractured left eye socket.
Battle reported soreness around his eye after Sunday’s victory over Melbourne and was sent for scans as a precaution.
Disappointingly, the results revealed two small fractures that will keep him sidelined for between two-three weeks.

General Manager of Football Simon Lethlean said Battle would be missed after impressing since coming into the side.
“Josh has made a significant impact after earning his opportunity against Sydney in Round 12,” he said.
“Not only has he been able to hit the scoreboard but has played with great physicality.”
“Thankfully the injury doesn’t require surgery, but it will mean that he is sidelined for a short period.”
Battle has kicked six goals in his three games this season after playing one in 2017.
