Forever remembered for his match-winning point in the Grand Final and for being the first Saint to reach 300 games, Breen was an exceptional all-round footballer.
He played predominantly at centre half-forward, but also excelled on a flank or as a ruck-rover. His most telling traits were the ability to grab a mark in a tight pack and burst clear. Late in his career he performed at full-back with distinction.
